• The original landscape tended to block off the house and was hard to even see over time. We opened up the front yard of this Beaverdale brick home and created a warmer, more custom entrance!
  • This project shows how unused space along a driveway can be transformed to accommodate a patio large enough for grilling, eating and entertaining!

  • We strive and specialize in unique plant combinations, such as this dwarf bee balm and lady's mantle!
  • This loose stone pathway is a great addition to this woodland backyard. Made of blue trap rock and limestone steps/edging, it makes a nice entrance to the client's backyard gardens and is very low maintenance!
  • "Live Among Your Plants"
  • This wonderful home sits right in the heart of Des Moines. The front sidewalk was never being used by visitors or the homeowners. When it came time to replace/re-design this front entrance, we decided to re-route the entrance to come off the driveway instead and added a lovely deck that fits two chairs and a table for an afternoon cocktail!
  • Elements such as this free-standing retaining wall can add so much visual interest to a garden. The russian sage in the background is an outstanding perennial for structure and foliage color next to the wall and the cranesbill geranium bloom throughout most of the summer season for consistent color!
  • Tearing out an old concrete stoop and replacing it with a limestone landing and pavers is sure to create a welcoming entrance!
  • Landscape Designs Hand-drawn, one-of-a-kind landscape designs, customized to each client and their landscape needs/wants and lifestyle.
  • This photo captures this landscape in its fourth year and it is stunning! Taken in spring, the Korean Spice Viburnums are in full bloom, and the Japanese Lilac tree in the foreground has leafed out and getting ready to bloom. What a wonderful garden this has become!
  • This hydrangea tree adds a lot of "bang for your buck" in the landscape. Blooming throughout the summer months, it starts out white and then fades to a mauve-pink, and the dried blooms make excellent winter interest.
  • This re-built walkway, using a solid base and Belgard pavers, makes for a stable walking path and easy maintenance in the winter with snow removal.
